ABSTRACT
This investigation’s mpacto to analyze the ethical aspects related to the development of Information and Communication technologies in society. To achieve that, previous investigations were studied, such as Pineda (2010), Montuschi (2005), Aguirre, García and Zambrano (2007) and foremost, Fernandez-Molina and cols. (2005), who approach, from different areas, the relation between ethics and ICT and their mpacto n society. The present is a descriptive research, with a non-experimental design, studied on the field and transversal. The studied population consists of a total of 15 students from the postgraduate in social communication, specialized in Information and Communication technologies from La Universidad del Zulia (LUZ). A census was made to apply an instrument of data collection, specifically, the Inventory AE-ICT, which was validated by three judges. Afterwards, it was applied to the population and, with the data collected, it was determined that ethical values of liberty, privacy and responsibility, and the ethical problems of censorship and content regulation were the ethical aspects with higher value to society, according to the consulted population. Also, it was concluded that the variable of sex and age could change an individual’s perception on ethical aspects related to ICT, mostly the variable age.
